Xray & Muchmore Team driver Teemu Leino won the 2006 GP Touring Car Carpet World Cup held at the CRF Power Raceway in Switzerland after taking 4 wins in the 'Reedy race' format World Cup finals.  Hot Bodies & Muchmore World and European Champion, Andy Moore just missed out, taking second place but claimed the title of 'Lord of Touring' when the top 10 finishes lined up for the finale.

Juho Levanen and Muchmore Team driver, Craig Drescher demonstrated success for the Team Associated prototypes following Teemu and Andy home and taking 3rd and 4th place overall. 

Muchmore drivers Jilles Grosjamp and Martin Hudy took some 1st places in their mixed races and finished 6th and 8th overall with more than half the top 10 drivers using the Muchmore CTX-C charger!

Muchmore UK drivers Olly Jefferies, Ben Cosgrove and Jon Bowden demonstrated some inspired driving qualifying for the top 32 mixed races with Olly finishing in the top half of the overall field.

With the 32 top racers segregated into the mixed race format, Michael Jasmin (France), Riccardo Rabitti (Italy) and Mischa Kroos (Switzerland) were the top 3 overall in the A main.

The Carpet World Cup was sponsored by GP, Muchmore, Team Orion, RCWORLD.ch, CRF Power and BBK Timing Systems.  106 competitors, 6 rounds of 16 practice heats, 5 qualifying rounds of 10 heats, 24 mixed 'Reedy format' races, 10 finals and the Lords of Touring showcase delivered first-class racing and an outstanding World Cup.
